Repeater stations extended the distance and coverage of a radio signal. Predominantly repeater installations are located in high areas like mountains or tall buildings.
This ensures that the signal to the repeater is received and transmitted as best as possible.
The below map shows every repeater currently licensed to operate within the 6m Band in Australia.
Repeater input frequencies are between 52.5500 MHz – 52.9750 MHz. The repeater offset is -1 MHz from the output frequency.
Although a license is issued for a particular repeater some repeaters may not be operating due to maintenance or any other number of issues.
